Become a Koinonia Parent There is nothing more rewarding in this world than helping a child in need. Please explore this part of our site to learn more about foster parenting and adoption.
Parents that wish to adopt and parents that are only interested in foster care
must both first become certified foster parents. There are some prerequisites to
becoming a foster parent. The most important is the desire to show love to a child
whose life may have been without the benefit of a caring family environment. Once
that desire to serve is established in the mind and heart of an individual or
couple, the remaining requirements include, but are not limited to:
Koinonia provides the support of a professional social worker who is a resource to the foster parent(s). All Koinonia foster children are given professional counseling, medical and dental care, a monthly spending allowance and a monthly clothing allowance. Many children in the foster care system become available for adoption.
