Our Record of Quality, Integrity & Experience
Starting a new career is a big decision. People naturally want some assurance that their new employer has performed well in the past, and will perform equally well in the years to come. Especially in a time of corporate scandals, downsizing, and outsourcing, people are looking for organizations that have a solid track record of quality, integrity and experience. At Koinonia Family Services, we take our past and future track record very seriously.
At the core of Koinonia’s mission is a focus on quality. We strive to provide the highest possible quality services to children and young people, and we regularly review our practices to ensure success. Probably the best measure of this quality can be seen in the lives of the children and young people who once participated in our program, who are now productive adults and loving parents and have broken the cycle of abuse and neglect for their future generations.
Managing our business with integrity is another hallmark of Koinonia’s long and successful track record. Koinonia Family Services has a very dedicated Board of Directors who reviews all of its program and financial practices. Further, we regularly conduct a variety of internal and external program and financial audits, including audits performed by outside independent auditors and state and county government officials. Even before foster family agencies like Koinonia were required by state law to conduct outside independent audits, Koinonia voluntarily participated in such audits. This next year, Koinonia’s outside independent auditors will conduct the newly required OMB A-133 audit, which is the highest level of audit for states, local governments and non-profit organizations.
Finally, Koinonia Family Services is one of California and Nevada’s leading foster family agencies, with more than 30 years of experience in the field of child and family services. This longevity translates to a seasoned, experienced team of professionals who are among the industry’s leaders.
