Kaiser Behavioral Health Program
Koinonia Homes for Teens offers two residential Behavioral Health Programs (BHP) designed for different age groups that work in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente. Both programs provide mental health stabilization and treatment for youth who have struggled in other residential placements. By modifying treatment and educational services, Koinonia’s BHP creates a calm and secure environment for youth to heal.
BHP Teens – Our adolescent program serves post-hospitalized 13 to 18 year olds and their families. Typically, teens will complete the Behavioral Health Program in 3 to 6 months. Koinoina’s BHP teen program has two residential facilities: the Orangevale site offers services to a co-ed population and the Loomis facility serves adolescent males. In addition to the services listed below, the teen program also provides substance abuse counseling with a SUD certified counselor.
BHP Pre-Teens – Our pre-teen program serves 6 to 12 year-old children and their families. We provide full-scope, short to mid-length residential services designed to be developmentally appropriate for this age group. Koinonia’s BHP pre-teen program has two residential facilities: the Rocklin site offers services to pre-teen boys and the Auburn facility serves pre-teen girls.
